NYT Spelling Bee 11-9-20 final

I tried so hard. I got so far. Ultimately, I only got to amazing.

And as for an update on the issue I’d raised to the NYT folks? There is none! They haven’t yet replied.

While I had thought I might be just one off from Queen Bee yesterday, it turns out that was far from reality.

AGAPE, PAYEE? Sure.

DEADEYE: An expert marksman. I deadass have never heard this term before.
GADDED: Went from place to place in the pursuit of pleasure. New to me.
YEGG: A burglar or safe-breaker.?????? On that topic, there were helicopters circling earlier and a perimeter set up by LAPD because there were a couple people who broke into someone’s home. Were they yeggs?

Today was a really rough one. Almost no words to be found. And I’ve come around to that style. They’re way better than the 300-point spelling bees. Or is it spellings bee?

Final score: 19 words for 48 points.
Genius minimum: 53 points.
Pangram:
Note on Pangram: Lauren got it and humblebrags that I might not be familiar with this word. Humblebrag is my interpretation. Hard to tell tone from text.
Missed opportunities: BITEFACE, FACEBITE, FACTBAIT, FACEBAIT, BAITFACE, BEEFEETEE, ATTICBEEF, BEEFFACE, BEEFACE, FEETFACE, FACEFEET, FEETBITE, EATFACE, CAFETEBIA, BAITCAFE

About raabidfun

I'm a guy living the #raabidfun lifestyle. I figured I would create a blog about crossword puzzles I do. The idea is to do the NYT crossword and the WSJ crossword daily as much as I can. That includes when I don't finish and have clearly failed. They can be difficult. Also I am not an attorney, and any legal analysis in this blog reflects my interpretation, which means it can be flawed and should not be relied upon for use in legal matters (especially against me).
