NYT Spelling Bee 12-6-20 final

Hello from Day 18 of the current California COVID constant curfew! The full lockdown starts tomorrow.

Today marks real progress for me, and it’s progress I imagine will have an extremely short life.

I got TATAMI.

I found the NYT Sunday Crossword to take less time to do, and I reiterate that I’ve come around to the ones that have a 76-point genius minimum.

Yesterday I missed COCOON, COHO, IONIC, NONCOM, ONION, OOMPH.

Meatier misses

CIOPPINO: An Italian American stew of seafood cooked with tomatoes and wine. Reminder that there’s no HORCHATA and no TORTA ever.
COCCI: I often forget this type of spherical or roughly spherical bacteria.

Today’s summary

Final score: 53 words for 237 points.
Genius minimum: 216 points.
First word: AMENITY
Pangram: AMENITY
Final word: INANIMATE

About raabidfun

I'm a guy living the #raabidfun lifestyle. I figured I would create a blog about crossword puzzles I do. The idea is to do the NYT crossword and the WSJ crossword daily as much as I can. That includes when I don't finish and have clearly failed. They can be difficult. Also I am not an attorney, and any legal analysis in this blog reflects my interpretation, which means it can be flawed and should not be relied upon for use in legal matters (especially against me).
