NYT Spelling Bee 3-3-21 final

Today had the second installment of the investigation into how things broke down so spectacularly at the Capitol on January 6. And then later in the day they declared that Congress will not be in session tomorrow because of the whole Trump-will-be-sworn-in-on-3/4 nonsense. But if you think about it… 3/4 is 0.75 which, and 0.75 of 100,000,0000 is… 75 million. Whattttttt. So if Trump is inaugurated tomorrow, then Biden will be inaugurated on April 5.

Yesterday I missed FUGUE, NENE, UNEVEN, and UNLEVEL.

Meatier Misses

VENUE: We all know what a venue is. But we don’t all know where the venue is. With the announcement that everyone will be able to be vaccinated by the end of May, Calah has put on me venue research for the wedding. Early on in the pandemic, I had suggested the Mojave Desert. No specific place in the Mojave Desert because then we could have everyone there. Of course the obvious and insurmountable flaw in that plan is absence of safe bathroom stops along the way. I still see as a very, very close second anywhere. But there’s a caveat. IT’s anywhere but with each person in an individual Zorb.

It looks like fun even in normal times!

VENULE: A very small vein, especially one collecting blood from the capillaries.

Today’s summary

Final score: 25 words for 67 points.
Genius minimum: 67 points.
First word: FELLA.
Pangram: FLAGPOLE.

About raabidfun

I'm a guy living the #raabidfun lifestyle. I figured I would create a blog about crossword puzzles I do. The idea is to do the NYT crossword and the WSJ crossword daily as much as I can. That includes when I don't finish and have clearly failed. They can be difficult. Also I am not an attorney, and any legal analysis in this blog reflects my interpretation, which means it can be flawed and should not be relied upon for use in legal matters (especially against me).
