NYT Spelling Bee 6-2-21 final

June Gloom! It’s here! It rolled in yesterday right on cue. May Gray wasn’t so certain about sticking around, but when the clock struck June, the humidity and sky cover came to LA like it was going out of style.

I mentioned before about listening to Planet Money from the beginning. I’m now in January 2009. It’s amazing to me to hear how much came out so soon!

Yesterday I missed COLONIC, RICIN, and UNIRONIC.

Meatier Misses

UNICOLOR: Of one color. Naturally the day I marvel at getting all the pangrams, I miss half of them. I don’t think I would have gotten UNICOLOR anyway.
INURN: Place or bury (something, especially ashes after cremation) in an urn.
RUNIC: Of a letter of an ancient Germanic alphabet, related to the Roman alphabet.

PBS’s NOVA has a whole thing on Rune.

Today’s summary

Letters: BEGINOY
Final score: 37 word for 184 points.
Genius minimum: 182 points.
First word: BEGINNING.
Pangram: BOGEYING. Sure! Why not?

About raabidfun

I'm a guy living the #raabidfun lifestyle. I figured I would create a blog about crossword puzzles I do. The idea is to do the NYT crossword and the WSJ crossword daily as much as I can. That includes when I don't finish and have clearly failed. They can be difficult. Also I am not an attorney, and any legal analysis in this blog reflects my interpretation, which means it can be flawed and should not be relied upon for use in legal matters (especially against me).
