NYT Spelling Bee 10-8-21 final

I didn’t make it all the way to genius. I mean 53 words and I’m still not there? With Shabbat starting earlier and earlier, I had to bow out.

Yesterday I missed GUNPORT (absurd pangram), GURU, OUTRO, PRONOUN, PURPORT, ROTOR, and TUTOR.

Meatier Miss

GORGON: Each of three sisters, Stheno, Euryale, and Medusa, with snakes for hair, who had the power to turn anyone who looked at them to stone.

Today’s summary

Letters: OCFINRT
Final score: 53 words for 183 points.
Genius minimum: 189 points.
First word: NOTION.
Pangram: FRICTION.

About raabidfun

I'm a guy living the #raabidfun lifestyle. I figured I would create a blog about crossword puzzles I do. The idea is to do the NYT crossword and the WSJ crossword daily as much as I can. That includes when I don't finish and have clearly failed. They can be difficult. Also I am not an attorney, and any legal analysis in this blog reflects my interpretation, which means it can be flawed and should not be relied upon for use in legal matters (especially against me).
