hello wordl 4-8-23 (contains spoilers)

I finished this one in four. It’s my first finish in four in five days. The last time I got a four was Monday, April 3.

Analysis:

Today’s hello wordl had me wracking my brain a bit more than usual, but I managed to solve it in four guesses. The word was CRAWL, and my first guess of GRIFT only had the letter R in the right place. My second guess of DROWN was a bit more promising, with the R and W in the correct positions. However, it wasn’t until my fourth guess of CRAWL that I finally got the correct answer.

It’s interesting to note that my last solve in four guesses was for the word CROWD, which also starts with CR and has a W in the fourth position. Perhaps there’s a pattern emerging? Or maybe it’s just coincidence. Either way, it’s always satisfying to solve the puzzle, no matter how many guesses it takes.

I’ve been keeping track of my progress with Wordle this year, and I’m happy to report that I’ve had 24 solves in four guesses or less so far. It’s a bit behind my pace from last year, but I’m still pleased with my progress. I’m looking forward to seeing what tomorrow’s hello wordl has in store for me!

About raabidfun

I'm a guy living the #raabidfun lifestyle. I figured I would create a blog about crossword puzzles I do. The idea is to do the NYT crossword and the WSJ crossword daily as much as I can. That includes when I don't finish and have clearly failed. They can be difficult. Also I am not an attorney, and any legal analysis in this blog reflects my interpretation, which means it can be flawed and should not be relied upon for use in legal matters (especially against me).
