I finished this one in four. It’s my first finish in four in two days. The last time I got a four was Saturday, April 8.
Analysis:
Hey there, Wordle aficionados! I hope you’re all having a fantastic Monday. I recently took on the latest puzzle and, after a few attempts, successfully cracked the code in just four guesses. The word was EDICT, and my first guess was GRIFT, which gave me the I and T in the right places. I thought I might have a shot at solving it in two guesses, but unfortunately, my second guess of SPILT didn’t provide any helpful hints.
Undeterred, I kept at it and tried QUIET as my third guess and learned that E was in the word. However, it wasn’t in the right place. But on my fourth guess, I struck gold with EDICT! It’s always satisfying when the pieces finally fall into place.
Looking back at my progress, I noticed that my average number of guesses per solve has been improving. Through April 10th last year, my average solve was 4.37 guesses. However, in the first 100 days of this year, my average solve has dropped to 4.03 guesses. It’s great to see my skills improving over time and getting closer to that elusive perfect score.
