I finished this one in five. It’s my first finish in five in two days. The last time I got a five was Wednesday, April 19.
Analysis:
Welcome back to another daily Wordle blog post! Today’s puzzle word was PLEAD, and it took me a total of five guesses to solve it.
As usual, my first guess was GRIFT, but unfortunately, it didn’t reveal any of the correct letters. For my second guess, I tried CHUMP, which gave me the letter P in the word but it was in the wrong place.
For my third guess, I went with POSEY, which revealed that the letter P was in the right place, but the letter E was not. Moving on to my fourth guess, I tried PENAL, which was a good guess as it revealed that both the letters P and A were in the right places, but the letters E and L were not.
Finally, on my fifth guess, I correctly guessed PLEAD, completing the puzzle. It’s always a great feeling to finally crack the code and solve the puzzle!
It’s interesting to note how the number of guesses it takes to solve the puzzle can vary from day to day. Yesterday I solved it in just two guesses, but today it took me five. This goes to show that every puzzle is unique, and sometimes it just takes a little bit more effort to solve it.
With today’s solve, my average number of guesses per solve for the year so far is sitting at exactly 4. I can’t wait to see what tomorrow’s puzzle will bring, and how many guesses it will take me to solve it.
