hello wordl 4-20-23 (contains spoilers)

I finished this one in four. It’s my first finish in four in two days. The last time I got a four was Tuesday, April 18.

Analysis:

Another day, another Wordle puzzle to solve. Today’s word was DAIRY, and I have to admit, I was a bit surprised that it wasn’t a theme-of-the-day word like BLUNT, SPLIFF, SNOOP, or WILLY. But hey, that’s just how it goes sometimes.

I started off with my usual first guess of GRIFT, which got me the letter I in the right place but the letter R in the wrong place. So I decided to take a risk with my second guess and went for WHIRR, which got me both the letters I and R in the right place. Feeling confident, I went for SPIRE as my third guess, but unfortunately it didn’t give me any helpful letters.

But on my fourth guess, I hit the jackpot: DAIRY. I was glad to have solved it in just four guesses, and even though it wasn’t a theme-of-the-day word, I couldn’t help but think how funny it would have been if the creator had included a more sketchy word. But hey, maybe they’re just keeping it PG-rated.

Anyway, on to tomorrow’s puzzle. Who knows what word we’ll be working with, but I’ll be ready to take it on!

I finished this one in five. It’s my first finish in five in two days. The last time I got a five was Monday, April 17.

Analysis:

Welcome back to another update on my daily Wordle progress. Today’s word was PROVE and I was able to solve it in five guesses.

My first guess was GRIFT, which had the letter R in the right place. My second guess was BROWN, which had the letters R and O in the right places. Feeling confident, I decided to take a risk with my third guess and went for CROSS, but unfortunately, it did not help me with any correct letters.

For my fourth guess, I tried PROUD and was pleased to see that the letters P, R, and O were in the right places. Finally, on my fifth guess, I guessed PROVE and it was the correct solution.

Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to solve a puzzle in exactly three guesses since April 11, but I’m determined to get back on track.

Thanks for reading, and I’ll see you tomorrow for the next Wordle challenge!

I finished this one in four. It’s my first finish in four in two days. The last time I got a four was Sunday, April 16.

Analysis:

Greetings, fellow Wordle aficionados! It’s time for another update on my Wordle adventures. On Tuesday, April 18th, I took on the challenge with the word “THREE” and successfully solved it in just four guesses. Though I didn’t quite achieve a three-guess victory, I was still thrilled with the outcome!

As usual, I started with my go-to guess of “GRIFT,” but this time it didn’t provide much information, with only the letters “R” and “T” in the wrong places. Undeterred, I moved on to my second guess of “TORCH,” which proved to be more fruitful. I had “R” and “T” in the right places, and the letter “H” in the wrong place.

Feeling confident, I considered “THREE” as my third guess, but I decided to play it safe and opted for “THREW” instead. While all the letters were correct, except for the last one, it was a valuable clue that helped me narrow down the possibilities.

Finally, on my fourth guess, I confidently entered “THREE,” and to my delight, it was the correct answer! I had solved the puzzle in just four guesses, which was a satisfying accomplishment.

I couldn’t help but reflect on the cleverness of Wordle, as it challenges me with its strategic wordplay and keeps me on my toes. It reminded me of the New York Times Wordle on April Fools’ Day, which was “MARCH” – a clever nod to the occasion. It’s these little touches that make the game even more enjoyable and keep me coming back for more.

As I continue my Wordle journey, I’m constantly learning, improving my skills, and appreciating the supportive community of fellow Wordle enthusiasts. It’s a game that offers both fun and challenge, as I strive to improve my guessing strategies and solve the puzzles with fewer guesses.

So, fellow Wordle fans, keep on guessing, strategizing, and celebrating your victories, no matter how many guesses it takes. Happy Wordling, and may the words be ever in your favor!

As usual, I started with my trusty first guess of “GRIFT.” However, the “G” was in the wrong place, and I knew I had to keep trying. With my second guess of “SWUNG,” I was hopeful, but unfortunately, the “G” was still in the wrong place, leaving me searching for the correct combination.

Undeterred, I made my third guess as “BADGE,” and finally, some progress! The “A” and “E” were in the right places, giving me a clue on the correct positions. However, the “G” was still elusive, and I had to keep pushing forward.

With my fourth and final guess, I confidently entered “EAGLE,” and to my delight, it was the correct answer! Success! The feeling of cracking the puzzle and uncovering the hidden word was incredibly satisfying.

Comparing my performance to last year, I noticed an improvement in my Friday puzzles. I finished this one in five. It’s my first finish in five in nine days (again!). The last time I got a five was Tuesday, April 4.

Analysis:

Hello, Wordle enthusiasts! It’s time to share my Wordle journey for Thursday, April 13th. The word that had me scratching my head this time was DEPOT, and it took me five guesses to crack the code.

My first guess was GRIFT, and I was encouraged to find that the letter T was in the right place. However, my next guess of CHANT didn’t yield any helpful clues. Undeterred, I tried MOULT for my third guess, and while I learned that there was an O in the word, it wasn’t in the right place.

For my fourth guess, I tried BESOT, and this time, I was thrilled to see that the letters E, O, and T were in the right places. Armed with this information, I made an educated guess on my fifth attempt, and voila! The word was DEPOT, and it was a perfect fit.

On the topic of DEPOT, I couldn’t help but reflect on how it’s sometimes puzzling how certain businesses, like Office Depot, manage to stay afloat in today’s competitive world. I’ve seen a FOR LEASE sign while driving by a location, but I don’t know if it’s for something else in that multi-tentant building. Nevertheless, let’s remain optimistic and appreciate the uniqueness and value that different businesses bring to our communities. After all, diversity in the business world is what makes it so interesting and dynamic.

I finished this one in three. It’s my first finish in three in three days. The last time I got a three was Sunday, April 9.

Analysis:

Hello, fellow Wordle enthusiasts! It’s time to share my Wordle journey for Wednesday, April 12th. The elusive word on this day was AGILE, and I’m thrilled to report that I cracked the code in just three guesses!

My first guess was GRIFT, and while the I was in the right place, the G was misplaced. Undeterred, I adjusted my strategy for my second guess and tried SLING. This time, I learned that the I was indeed in the right place, but the G was still in the wrong spot. However, I also discovered that there was an L in the word, though not in the correct position.

Armed with this new information, I made an educated guess on my third attempt, and voila! The word was AGILE, and it was the perfect fit. It’s always satisfying to see the word come together, especially after a couple of close but not-quite-there guesses.

Reflecting on my progress, I realized that my average solve on a Wednesday was 3.8 guesses in both 2022 and 2023, which is an interesting observation. Wordle can be tricky, but it’s all part of the fun and challenge of the game.

Analysis:

Hello, fellow Wordle enthusiasts! It’s another day of word-guessing fun, and I’m excited to share my latest solve with you all. On Tuesday, April 11th, the word to crack was PIETY, and it took me four guesses to figure it out.

My first guess was GRIFT, which only yielded the I and T, but in the wrong places. Undeterred, I tried a different approach with my second guess, INTEL, hoping to leverage the E, but alas, all three letters were still misplaced.

On my third guess, I went with DIETS, even though I had a feeling that ending with an S wasn’t the answer. Nevertheless, it did provide some progress, with the I, E, and T in the right places. Feeling closer, I went for it on my fourth guess with PIETY, and to my delight, it was the correct answer!

Interestingly, this was my second solve in exactly four guesses in a row. It’s always fascinating to see patterns emerge in Wordle and to adjust my strategy accordingly. It’s a constant challenge to improve my skills and push myself to crack the code with as few guesses as possible.
