hello wordl 5-10-23 (contains spoilers)

I finished this one in five. It’s my second finish in five in a row. The last time I got a five was Tuesday, May 9.

Analysis:

It’s the fifth month of the year, and that means it’s time for another round of daily Wordle puzzles! Today’s puzzle was a bit of a challenge for me, but I was able to solve it in just five guesses. The word was “MIGHT,” and my first guess was “GRIFT.” Thankfully, that gave me three letters that I could work with: T was in the right place, and G and I were in the wrong places.

With that information in mind, I took my second guess and tried “NIGHT.” It turned out that the last four letters, I, G, H, T, were all in the right places. This was a good start, but it was still a guessing game from there. My third guess was “LIGHT,” but unfortunately, it didn’t help me narrow down the word.

My fourth guess was “SIGHT,” but it didn’t get me any closer to the solution. Finally, on my fifth and final guess, I tried “MIGHT” and the puzzle was solved! The feeling of triumph when the correct word is revealed is always worth the effort.

I have to admit that I haven’t been doing so well with this month’s Wordle puzzles. Out of the 10 puzzles so far, I’ve solved seven of them in exactly five guesses. While this isn’t terrible, it’s not as good as my average of just over four guesses. It just goes to show that the goal of the game is to solve the puzzle in as few guesses as possible. The maximum number of allowable guesses is six, so there’s always a chance to get lucky and solve it quickly. Here’s hoping tomorrow’s puzzle is a little bit easier!

About raabidfun

I'm a guy living the #raabidfun lifestyle. I figured I would create a blog about crossword puzzles I do. The idea is to do the NYT crossword and the WSJ crossword daily as much as I can. That includes when I don't finish and have clearly failed. They can be difficult. Also I am not an attorney, and any legal analysis in this blog reflects my interpretation, which means it can be flawed and should not be relied upon for use in legal matters (especially against me).
