I finished this one in four. It’s my first finish in four in two days. The last time I got a four was Thursday, April 27.

Analysis:

Welcome back to another Wordle blog post! Today’s word was THUMB, and I managed to solve it in just four guesses.

My first guess was GRIFT, but the only letter it had in common with the answer was the T, which was in the wrong place. My second guess was TODAY, which revealed that the letter T was in the correct position. For my third guess, I tried TENSE, but it didn’t provide any new information.

Finally, for my fourth guess, I went with THUMB, and it turned out to be the correct word! It’s interesting to note that at that point, the only vowel left was U, so I didn’t have many options to choose from.

Overall, it was a satisfying solve, and I’m looking forward to seeing what tomorrow’s word will be. See you then!

I finished this one in four. It’s my second finish in four in a row. The last time I got a four was Wednesday, April 26.

Analysis:

Welcome back to the daily Wordle blog! Today’s word was “GREED” and I was able to solve it in just four guesses.

My first guess was “GRIFT”, which gave me the satisfaction of seeing two letters in the right place. It also gave me some initial hope that I might be able to guess the word in just a couple more tries.

However, my second guess of “GRUMP” didn’t provide any new information, which made me a little nervous. I needed to make sure that I was focusing on the right set of letters.

My third guess was “GRAND”, which was a step in the right direction since it revealed that the letters G, R, and D were all in the correct positions.

Finally, my fourth guess of “GREED” was the right answer. It felt good to have guessed the word in only a few tries and I was happy to add another win to my tally.

It’s interesting how certain words can evoke different emotions, and “GREED” is one of those words that often brings up negative associations. However, when it comes to the Wordle game, it’s all about trying to find the right combination of letters, no matter what the word means.

Thanks for reading and I hope you join me again tomorrow for another exciting round of Wordle!

Analysis:

Welcome back to the Wordle blog! Today’s puzzle word was BLEND, and I managed to solve it in just four guesses. Let me tell you all about it!

My first guess was GRIFT, but unfortunately, it didn’t have any letters in common with the answer. My second guess was BLOWN, and I was happy to see that the letters B and L were in the right places. However, the letter N was in the wrong place.

For my third guess, I tried BLAND. I was pleased to see that the letters B, L, N, and D were all in the right places. At this point, I knew that the word started with BL and ended with ND. But what could be the vowel in the middle?

I took a moment to consider my options before making my fourth and final guess: BLEND. And to my relief, it turned out to be the correct answer.

I couldn’t help feeling a bit annoyed, though, that the word was just one vowel different from my previous guess. If only I had guessed BLEND on my third try, I could have solved the puzzle in just three guesses! But that’s how it goes with Wordle – sometimes you get lucky, and sometimes you don’t.

That’s it for today’s Wordle blog post. I hope you enjoyed reading about my solving process, and I’ll see you again tomorrow with a new puzzle word to tackle!

Analysis:

Welcome back to the daily Wordle blog post! Today’s puzzle word was LOFTY, and it was a bit of a challenge, but I managed to solve it in just four guesses.

My first guess was GRIFT, which turned out to be incorrect, with both F and T in the wrong places. Next, I tried FATED, which also didn’t help me much, with F and T still in the wrong positions.

For my third guess, I went with TOFUS, and while it didn’t reveal any correct letters in the correct positions, it did give me some valuable information. Specifically, the letters O and F were both in the right positions, which allowed me to narrow down the possibilities for my next guess.

Finally, on my fourth guess, I went with LOFTY, and I was delighted to find that I had solved the puzzle! It’s always a great feeling to figure out the puzzle word, and I especially appreciated the fact that today’s word had a connection to my personal life.

Yesterday, I played golf, and golf clubs have a feature called “loft,” which refers to the angle of the club face that helps lift the ball into the air. It was a nice coincidence that today’s puzzle word also had the word “loft” in it.

Overall, I’m happy with my solve today, and I’m looking forward to tomorrow’s puzzle word. Tune in tomorrow for the next installment of the Wordle blog post!

Analysis:

Welcome to another edition of the Wordle blog post! Today’s word was ACTOR, and I’m happy to say that I managed to solve it in just four guesses.

My first guess was GRIFT, but it didn’t reveal any of the correct letters in the word. Moving on, I guessed TERSE, but unfortunately, it didn’t reveal any letters either. I was starting to get a bit nervous at this point, as I really wanted to solve the puzzle today.

For my third guess, I tried the word ROTOR, and it revealed that the letters T, O, and R were in the right places. That gave me some confidence, as I knew that the word had to end in “OR”.

Finally, on my fourth and final guess, I went with ACTOR, and was delighted to see that it was the correct answer! It’s always such a great feeling when you manage to solve the puzzle, especially when you’ve been struggling with it.

Overall, it was a fun and challenging puzzle, and I’m looking forward to seeing what tomorrow’s word will be. Who knows, maybe I’ll even manage to solve it in fewer guesses!

I finished this one in four. It’s my first finish in four in two days. The last time I got a four was Tuesday, April 18.

Analysis:

Another day, another Wordle puzzle to solve. Today’s word was DAIRY, and I have to admit, I was a bit surprised that it wasn’t a theme-of-the-day word like BLUNT, SPLIFF, SNOOP, or WILLY. But hey, that’s just how it goes sometimes.

I started off with my usual first guess of GRIFT, which got me the letter I in the right place but the letter R in the wrong place. So I decided to take a risk with my second guess and went for WHIRR, which got me both the letters I and R in the right place. Feeling confident, I went for SPIRE as my third guess, but unfortunately it didn’t give me any helpful letters.

But on my fourth guess, I hit the jackpot: DAIRY. I was glad to have solved it in just four guesses, and even though it wasn’t a theme-of-the-day word, I couldn’t help but think how funny it would have been if the creator had included a more sketchy word. But hey, maybe they’re just keeping it PG-rated.

Anyway, on to tomorrow’s puzzle. Who knows what word we’ll be working with, but I’ll be ready to take it on!

Analysis:

Greetings, fellow Wordle aficionados! It’s time for another update on my Wordle adventures. On Tuesday, April 18th, I took on the challenge with the word “THREE” and successfully solved it in just four guesses. Though I didn’t quite achieve a three-guess victory, I was still thrilled with the outcome!

As usual, I started with my go-to guess of “GRIFT,” but this time it didn’t provide much information, with only the letters “R” and “T” in the wrong places. Undeterred, I moved on to my second guess of “TORCH,” which proved to be more fruitful. I had “R” and “T” in the right places, and the letter “H” in the wrong place.

Feeling confident, I considered “THREE” as my third guess, but I decided to play it safe and opted for “THREW” instead. While all the letters were correct, except for the last one, it was a valuable clue that helped me narrow down the possibilities.

Finally, on my fourth guess, I confidently entered “THREE,” and to my delight, it was the correct answer! I had solved the puzzle in just four guesses, which was a satisfying accomplishment.

I couldn’t help but reflect on the cleverness of Wordle, as it challenges me with its strategic wordplay and keeps me on my toes. It reminded me of the New York Times Wordle on April Fools’ Day, which was “MARCH” – a clever nod to the occasion. It’s these little touches that make the game even more enjoyable and keep me coming back for more.

As I continue my Wordle journey, I’m constantly learning, improving my skills, and appreciating the supportive community of fellow Wordle enthusiasts. It’s a game that offers both fun and challenge, as I strive to improve my guessing strategies and solve the puzzles with fewer guesses.

So, fellow Wordle fans, keep on guessing, strategizing, and celebrating your victories, no matter how many guesses it takes. Happy Wordling, and may the words be ever in your favor!

Welcome back, fellow Wordle enthusiasts! It’s time to share another exciting update on our journey to crack the code and solve the elusive Wordle puzzles. Today, we’ll be talking about the challenge we faced on Friday, April 14th, and how we triumphed with the word “EAGLE” in just four guesses. Let’s dive in!

As usual, I started with my trusty first guess of “GRIFT.” However, the “G” was in the wrong place, and I knew I had to keep trying. With my second guess of “SWUNG,” I was hopeful, but unfortunately, the “G” was still in the wrong place, leaving me searching for the correct combination.

Undeterred, I made my third guess as “BADGE,” and finally, some progress! The “A” and “E” were in the right places, giving me a clue on the correct positions. However, the “G” was still elusive, and I had to keep pushing forward.

With my fourth and final guess, I confidently entered “EAGLE,” and to my delight, it was the correct answer! Success! The feeling of cracking the puzzle and uncovering the hidden word was incredibly satisfying.

Comparing my performance to last year, I noticed an improvement in my Friday puzzles. In April 2022, my average Friday puzzle was solved in 4.467 guesses, while this year, my average April Friday puzzle was solved in just 3.5 guesses. It’s clear that practice, persistence, and a keen eye for patterns can lead to better results in Wordle.
