Please drink responsibly no matter what you choose to drink. Even too much water can kill you.

I couldn’t find any drinking game related the 1979 film The Jerk, starring Steve Martin and Bernadette Peters. This is a surprise to me because I know how to use search engines, and The Jerk is widely held as one of the funniest movies of all time. Even the late Roger Ebert said, “‘The Jerk’ is almost entirely a movie of Funny Hats.“

So why couldn’t I find a drinking game in a hurry? I don’t know! But I made one and decided to post it so I could find it later. Future me will thank me later.

What I came up with is to drink when any of the following happens:

• Navin travels to a new place
• Navin learns an obvious lesson
• Navin gets paid
• Navin sends money home
• The dog’s name is said
• Anyone drinks onscreen
• “Special purpose”
